The Glyphoscope Stereoscopic Camera used to take the 1905 photographs.

Each of these pictures is one of a stereoscopic pair on a glass plate taken with this Glyphoscope, an early stereoscopic camera. The camera belonged to René de Knyff, but the photographer is not known.

The Glyphoscope stereoscopic camera began production in 1904, only a year before these pictures were taken. It takes two photographs simultaneously on a glass plate. The camera can be used as a stereo viewer by removing the shutter and replacing the back plate with a diffuser.
